What Is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a skin treatment in which a specialized blade is used to remove dead skin and fine vellus hairs (“peach fuzz”) from the patient’s face.
The procedure is effective on most skin types, and anyone with dull skin, dry skin, sun-damaged skin, and wrinkles can safely try the procedure.
Preparation
Before undergoing the procedure, patients must stop using retinoids and all kinds of exfoliants for at least three to five days prior to treatment to minimize irritation.
It is advisable to reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing a breakout. You will need to wait until your skin has healed.
